Invited to speak in the opening session of The International Conference on The Role of Think Tanks in Developing Countries: Challenges and Solutions , Serageldin gave a keynote speech entitled Think Tanks and Development Policies. The conference was held by The Egyptian Cabinet Information and Decision Support Center (IDSC), under the auspices of Dr. Ahmed Nazif, Prime Minister of Egypt, and brought together think tanks from around the world to discuss common challenges and recommend solutions for issues confronting the developing world, such as child poverty and disparities, and food security.
