For the second year in a row, Ismail Serageldin attended the DLF spring board meeting in Washington DC. The meeting agenda included discussions on the development of scenarios of how the future research library, both digital and federated, will deliver value in the research and learning lives of their users. In June 2005, the Digital Library Federation announced the Bibliotheca Alexandrina as its first strategic partner from outside the United States or Europe.
