Over the weekend of 3 and 4 June, Serageldin participated in an event at the National Library of Singapore, entitled "Four Conversations", which brought together four local and international thought-leaders in different fields to share their real-world insights under the theme "New Thinking for a New World". As one of the four keynote speakers invited to take part in the "Four Conversations", Serageldin spoke on the topic: "Navigating a complex world: Insights for the Future", where he discussed what we can do to prepare ourselves and our young for a future where the world is increasingly divided by ideology, religion, income and gender. What traits and characteristics , and, more importantly, what need we do to bridge these divides? What new thinking will we need to be adopting to face these challenges?
The event was organised by the National Library, in conjunction with the National Reading Movement. The National Reading Movement is a five-year initiative by the National Library Board (NLB) to promote reading in Singapore
