On the Impact of Technology on Society

16/11/2016 | Zurich

The Swiss Center of Electronics and Microtechnology (CSEM) invited Serageldin to give a keynote speech at their conference entitled “Business Day Innovating to Zero”. The meeting held high-level technological discussions on the topics of Industry 4.0, food and agriculture, and medical prosthetics and implants, and demonstrated CSEM’s support for innovation and development that would eventually lead to "zero" – zero energy, footprint, defects, emissions, and time-to-market.

After a welcome address by Claude Nicollier, astronaut, and Chairman of CSEM, Serageldin gave a lecture entitled “Science and technology at the dawn of the third millennium: Its evolution and impact on society”.

CSEM is a private, non-profit Swiss research and technology organization  active in advanced micro- technologies.
