Ismail Serageldin met for several hours with some 100 young people of the city of Alexandria where many issues were discussed and where the young people felt strongly committed to work for the betterment of the society where they live. At the start of the talk, Serageldin noted that the recent incident of sectarian violence in Alexandria, which was confined to a particular neighborhood in a very large city, is most regrettable, and is vigorously condemned by all. The evening forum was an informal but informative and lively discussion.
