Ismail Serageldin joined the members of the World Economic Forum for the Annual meeting of 2006. The theme of this years’ meeting is “The Creative Imperative”, which reflects an emphasis on innovative approaches to seek new solutions to the most pressing challenges on the global agenda. Serageldin will participate in several sessions, of which include a session dedicated to the scientific advances in the genetics of race and ethnicity. Serageldin is also expected to attend a private meeting of the C-100 group (West-Islamic World Dialogue), of which he is a member. The Annual meeting performs a unique role of bringing together world leaders from politics, business, academia, religion, and also cultural personalities.
