IFPRI welcomed Ismail Serageldin to a Policy Seminar where he shared his insights on the future of water and food security. Serageldin delivered a thoughtful presentation in which he stressed the need for a collaborative approach among science organizations for a systematic attention to water issues. He went further to highlight the importance that international agencies and regional institutions work together to harness science for water and development issues and called for a workable approach to changing the way we manage water. The presentation was very well received and a lively discussion ensued.
